Funding Priorities
GRANTMAKING PRIORITIES
To maximize its impact in improving the lives of children, adolescents and adults with mental illness, the Ethel and James Flinn Foundation is focusing its resources over the next few years on the following priorities: Integrated Care, Evidence-Based Practices and Programs, Grantmaking Opportunities, and Michigan Mental Health Evidence-Based Practice Initiative.
GRANT ELIGIBILITY
The Foundation offers funding opportunities through an annual competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
The Foundation's supported organizations listed below and the broader universe of non-profits that deliver mental health care and services in southeast Michigan (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw counties) are eligible. Generally, the foundation will support research and other specific programs and activities of the below organizations. The foundation defines research broadly to include programs and activities with a strong research or evaluation component.
SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS
The Ethel and James Flinn Foundation will continue to award grants to the following supported organizations named in the governing instruments:
- Detroit Medical Center, including Children’s Hospital of Michigan
- Henry Ford Health System
- Mental Health Association of Michigan
- Michigan Department of Community Health and Community Mental Health Organizations of Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties
- University of Michigan
- Rose Hill Center
- Trinity Health Systems, including St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals
